Inclusion. Innovation. Independence. Improvement. These core values are the pillars that guided our work over the past 11 years to preserve and sustain the independence of older adults. The achievements founded on these pillars allow PACE to look back with pride and ahead with confident enthusiasm.
PACE originated in San Francisco in 1971 to help families provide home-based, long-term care for their elderly. It became a permanently recognized model of care under both Medicare and Medicaid in 1997 with the passage of the Balance Budget Act. Today, 122 PACE programs operate in 31 states serving over 40,000 participants.
To preserve and sustain the independence of older adults who have significant health needs and wish to remain in the community.
To serve as a catalyst for change in the long-term care industry. We will provide the right care, at the right time, in the right setting for our participants.
